In addition to a steady diet of beach and surf photography, you’ll also find goofy photos of our dogs, plants, and anything else that I find interesting posted here. In other words, this is just another photoblog that’s infrequently updated.
My previous site was hacked (along with about 10,000 others on this server), giving me an excuse to start fresh. I’ve been trying to think of something to say with photos, but I think I’d rather just have a good time shooting instead.
I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoy taking them.
A note about copyright and usage
I’d like for you to be able to use my photos, but I also need to have some say in the matter. It seems silly that we have to put these kinds of terms on a site, but the world is full of people who don’t believe in asking first, and I’ve had my share of people appropriating photos for causes and businesses that I do not support. I think the terms below are fair, but feel free to contact me with any questions.
Personal use: If you’d like to show the world a photo I’ve taken of your blog, Facebook or other social site, how about sharing a link to the page? Just click the share button in the post or in the linked gallery. Simple, free, and easier than downloading it and putting it in your photo albums. If you’d like to download a copy then upload it to a social network, click the photo, then click the buy link in the upper right hand corner. Downloads are cheap, and have more than enough resolution. If you want to upload it a web site, contact me first.
By the way, personal use is exactly that: personal. If your site promotes a business, charity, religious, athletic, social, political or educational institution, promotes your skills, or in any way draws revenue or promotes a service (including with banner ads or affiliate links), then it’s not just personal. See below for commercial use.
